Men's Golf: Big Red place ninth at Ted Barclay Invitational

Denison closed out the second day of competition at the 2009 Ted Barclay Spring Invitational with a team total of 314 to place ninth out of 13 teams. Denison's 36-hole score was 622 which placed them 12-strokes in front of 10th place Olivet.
Senior Kenny Smaga (Land-O-Lakes, Fla./Walsh Jesuit) led Denison over the course of the tournament. He followed yesterday's 74 with a 77 on Sunday to tie for 14th place overall. Tom Dunlap (East Liverpool, Ohio/East Liverpool) carded a 76 on Sunday while Kyle Bates (Avon Lake, Ohio/Avon Lake) finished with an 80 and Rob Colmery (Nellysford, Va./St. Anne's) fired an 81 to round out the scoring for the Big Red.
DePauw's Ronnie Harris was the medalist after today's 3-under par, 68.
