Men's Golf: Denison places fifth at Muskingum Invitational

Denison carded a second-day total of 313 to finish in fifth place at the nine-team Muskingum College Invitational from EagleSticks Golf Course in Zanesville, Ohio.
Denison was led by senior Tom Dunlap (East Liverpool, Ohio/East Liverpool) who posted back-to-back 3-over par rounds of 73 to tie for fifth overall. Following one stroke behind Dunlap was sophomore Kyle Bates (Avon Lake, Ohio/Avon Lake) who followed up his 74 on Friday with a 73 today. Senior Kenny Smaga (Land-O-Lakes, Fla./Walsh Jesuit) and junior Chase Foy (Westerville, Ohio/Upper Arlington) both finished with two-round totals of 159 to round out the scoring for the Big Red.
Mount Union College won the tournament with a team total of 570. Scott Miller of the Purple Raiders was the medalist with rounds of 70 and 69.
