Men's Golf: Big Red sit third after day one at Muskingum College Invitational

The Denison Univesity men's golf team fired a 298 en route to a third-place finish on day one of the Muskingum College Spring Invitational at EagleSticks Golf Course in South Zanseville, Ohio on Friday.
Mount Union College shot a 289 to lead the field while Ohio Northern University is second in the team standings with a team score of 297.
Senior Tom Dunlap (East Liverpool, Ohio/East Liverpool) finished tied for eighth after shooting a 73 for the opening round. Sophomore Kyle Bates (Avon Lake, Ohio/Avon Lake) and senior Kenny Smaga (Land O' Lakes, Fla. Walsh Jesuit) both carded a 74 which was good enough for 13th-place. Junior Chase Foy (Westerville, Ohio/Upper Arlington) rounded out the DU scoring with a first round 77.
Denison closes out the Muskingum Spring Invite on Saturday. The Big Red tee off at 11:40 a.m.
