Men's Golf: Big Red fourth after Day One at Oberlin Fall Invitational

The Denison men's golf team finished the opening day of the Oberlin College Fall Invitational in fourth place with 312 strokes. The invitational is the second event in the 2008-09 North Coast Athletic Conference Golf Championship Series.
Junior Rob Parks (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) led the Big Red with a 2-over par 74 to finish in the top ten after day one. Parks tied his career low that was set at last year's Kenyon Fall Classic.
Trailing Parks were senior Gian Milano (Kenilworth, Ill./New Trier) who carded a 78 and sophomore Kyle Bates (Avon Lake, Ohio/Avon Lake) who closed out the round with a 79. Rounding out the scoring for DU was senior Tom Dunlap (East Liverpool, Ohio/East Liverpool) who fired an 81.
Denison resumes play at the Oberlin Fall Classic on Sunday (Sept. 28).
