Men's Golf: Big Red sit in fourth after day one of Denison Fall Classic

Denison freshman Connor Monaghan (Garden City, N.Y./The Peddie School) fired a 3-over par, 74 in his first collegiate tournament and his Denison Big Red enter Sunday's final round in fourth place at the Denison Fall Classic.
The team finished at 315 and trail only Baldwin-Wallace (308), DePauw (306) and Wittenberg (291). Monaghan carded back-to-back birdies on the par 4 No. 5 hole and on the par 5 No. 6 hole. He would commit five bogeys on the day to finish at 74 which was the fifth-best round of the day.
Following Monaghan was sophomore David Erickson (Springfield, Ohio/Springfield Catholic) who shot 77 after an even-par 36 on the back nine.
The overall leader is Wittenberg freshman Bleu George who posted consecutive 33's to finish with an outstanding 5-under par 66. George carded eight birdies in the round.
The tournament will conclude with 18 holes on Sunday from Granville Golf Course.
