Leading the way for DU was freshman Connor Monaghan (Garden City, N.Y./The Peddie School) who followed up yesterday's 74 with a six-over par, 77. Monaghan finished ninth overall. Another rookie who fired a sub-80 round was Sam Kaiser (Zionsville, Ind./Brebeuf Jesuit) who rebounded from an 85 in Saturday's round with a 78.
The team championship went to Wittenberg University who ended with a 587. Sophomore Bleu George was the medalist after rounds of 66 and 70. On Sunday, Mercyhurst's Tyler Bidwell matched George's low round of the tournament with a 66 of his own. Bidwell carded five birdies on the front nine to shoot a five-under, 30. He would net two birdies on the back nine to end with an even-par 36.
