Golfers in 4th after first day at NCAC Championship

The Big Red men's golf team fired an opening 27 hole round of 476 and hold a one stroke lead over Wabash and a two stroke lead over Wooster and currently sit in fourth place at the 2006 North Coast Athletic Golf Championships at Windy Knoll Golf Course.

Frank Steinberg is in a tie for seventh place overall after his 18 hole round of 76 and his nine hole round of 39. Tom Dunlap is just one stroke behind after his rounds of 78 and 38. He is tied for ninth overall. Rounding out the top four scores for Denison was Ryan Brady (80-41) and Pete Lanctot (85-39).

Denison will hit the links again tomorrow to close out the 54-hole tournament with another 27 holes of golf. Ohio Wesleyan leads the tournament with a day one total of 445. Allegheny is second at 448 and Wittenberg is third at 468.
