Men's Indoor Track & Field: Big Red take seventh at NCAC Relays

Denison accumulated 41.50 points to finish seventh at the 2009 North Coast Athletic Conference Relays at Mitchell Athletic Center in Granville, Ohio on Saturday. Ohio Wesleyan University repeated as meet champions with 89.50 points.

The Big Red distance medley relay team won their event with a time of 10:27.00 which was over nine seconds faster then runner-up Wabash College.

The 4x800 team took finished second with a mark of 8:02.36, exactly one second behind the Ohio Wesleyan University collection.

The 4x400 crossed the finish line at 3:32.89, good enough for fifth place in the event. Ohio Wesleyan won the event with a time of 3:26.92 which was just 64 hundredths of a second from the meet record set by OWU at last year's meet.

Individually, senior Robbie Christian (North Canton, Ohio/Hoover) finished fourth in the high jump after clearing 5-08.75.

The Big Red returns to action Saturday when they host the Great Columbus Division III meet at 12:15 p.m.
