Men's Track & Field: Barnes repeats at ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American
Denison University senior Michael Barnes has been named to the 2009 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America first-team for men's track and field as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). This is Barnes' second consecutive Academic All-America award.

Allegheny College placed 1-2-3 in the men's 5,000 meters and Oberlin's Joanna Johnson set a new meet record in the women's 5K to highlight the first day of competition at the 2009 NCAC Indoor Track & Field Championship from the Mitchell Center on the campus of Denison University.

Indoor Track & Field: Three named NCAC Athlete of the Week
Senior Michael Barnes and freshman Dee Salukombo were named North Coast Athletic Conference Athletes of the Week on the men's side while junior Emily Hammeren received NCAC Athlete of the Week honors for the women after their performances at last Friday's Denison University Last Chance meet.

Men's Indoor Track & Field: 4x800 relay breaks 41-year old school record at DU Last Chance Meet
The Denison relay team of Ben Holder, Lex Hultquist, Ben Pendery and Chris Black won the 4x800 race and broke a 41-year old school record to help lead the Big Red at the Denison Last Chance Meet on Friday. The foursome finished the event with a time of 7:53.49 which shattered the previous record of 7:58.64 set back in 1968.

Men's Indoor Track & Field: Big Red finish third at Kenyon Classic
Freshman Dee Salukombo recorded a pair of victories to help the Denison Big Red to a third-place finish at the Kenyon College Classic on Saturday in Gambier, Ohio. The Big Red finished the meet with 96 points.

Men's Indoor Track & Field: DMR sets school record at All-Ohio Championships
The team of Lex Hultquist, Michael Barnes, Ben Pendery and Dee Salukombo won the distance medley relay and set a new Denison school record in the event with a time of 10:21.32 at the Division III All-Ohio Indoor Championship on Saturday afternoon in Westerville, Ohio.

Men's Indoor Track & Field: Big Red take seventh at NCAC Relays
Denison accumulated 41.50 points to finish seventh at the 2009 North Coast Athletic Conference Relays at Mitchell Athletic Center in Granville, Ohio on Saturday. Ohio Wesleyan University repeated as meet champions with 89.50 points.
