Men's Indoor Track & Field: Bendtsen Named NCAC Athlete of the Week

Denison's Joel Bendtsen (Chillicothe, Ohio/Chillicothe) was named the North Coast Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Distance/Mid-Distance Athlete of the Week after winning the men's 5,000 meters at the 2008 All-Ohio Division III Indoor Championships on Saturday in Westerville, Ohio.

Bendtsen turned in a winning time of 15:11.81 in the 5,000 meters helping DU to a ninth place finish.

Other top finishers from the weekend included Ben Holder (Dover, Ohio/Dover) who placed fourth in the 800 meters in 1:58.30 and Mike Barnes (Gates Mills, Ohio/Mayfield) whoo took fifth in the 400 meter dash in 51.44 seconds.
