The Denison men's indoor track and field team competed at the Capital Univeristy-Mike Hout Invitational on Friday night then sent a limited number of competitors to Saturday's Division III All-Ohio Championships hosted by Otterbein College.

At the All-Ohio Championships Denison placed 14th overall and were paced by their 4x400 and Distance Medley Relay teams. In the 4x400, the team of Mike Barnes, Ben Pendery, Lex Hultquist and Erik Walker placed fifth in 3:29.11. In the Distance Medley Relay Joel Bendtsen replaced Walker and the team came in third in 10:23.63.

Others competing at the All-Ohio included Andrew Cook who took sixth in the high jump. Clark Paciorek finished eighth in the 5,000 meters and Ben Holder and James Nelson came in 12th and 13th, respectively in the 800.

At the Capital Invitational, freshman Bill Horn won the pole vault by clearing 14'0" in helping DU to a seventh place finish. Adam Tewahade took second in the mile and Matt Perkett was the runner-up in the 800. Eric Gastevich cleared 5'10" in the high jump to finish second and Chris Barber came in sixth in the shot put with a throw of 42'4". Rounding out the top finishers for Denison was Craig Baker (3rd in 1,000) and Fran Kelly (5th in 400).
