Men's Lacrosse: Denison lands 13 on All-NCAC squads; Maude named Player of the Year
After advancing to the NCAA Quarterfinals for the 11th time in school history and locking up their 11th North Coast Athletic Conference Championship, Denison's Dan Maude was named the 2009 NCAC Player of the Year and Mike Caravana received his fourth NCAC Coach of the Year honor as 13 members of the Big Red squad earned All-NCAC recognition.

Denison lands four on ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District At-Large squads
Four Denison athletes received spots on the 2009 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District At-Larges squads. Senior women's swimmer Kristen Hohl and senior men's tennis player James Davis both earned first-team honors while diver Russ Bornschein and lacrosse player Brady Burton both landed on the second-team.

Men's Lacrosse: Maude repeats as USILA All-American
Denison University senior midfielder Dan Maude was named to the USILA All-America team for the second consecutive season. After earning honorable mention accolades in 2008, Maude was named to the All-America third-team in 2009 after helping Denison to their 11th NCAA Quarterfinal appearance and a 14-3 record.

Denison University seniors Jim Minor and Dan Maude have been selected to play in the annual United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Division III North/South All-Star Game at Harvard Stadium in Harvard, Mass. on Friday (May 22) at 2 p.m.

Men's Lacrosse: Gettysburg ends Big Red's postseason run
For most of the 2009 season the fast start had been Denison's calling card, jumping all over opponents before they had a chance to regroup. On Wednesday in the NCAA Tournament Quarterfinals, Gettysburg College flipped the script on the Big Red, riding a hot start to a 13-8 victory.

Another quick start by the Big Red offense combined with a dazzling 14-save performance by Denison first-year goalie Gregg Shannon led Denison to a 14-7 victory over third-ranked Roanoke in the second round of the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Championship from Salem, Va.

Men's Lacrosse: Denison rolls past OWU and into NCAA second round
Another fast start for the Denison offense, combined with some stout play on defense, resulted in a convincing 12-2 victory over Ohio Wesleyan on Wednesday in the opening round of the 2009 NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Tournament. DU advances to the second round where they will face No. 3 Roanoke on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Men's Lacrosse: Denison to host Ohio Wesleyan in NCAA First Round
The selections for the 2009 NCAA Division III men's lacrosse tournament have been made and Denison University has been selected to host the first-round on Wednesday (May 6) against NCAC rival, Ohio Wesleyan University. This is the 17th NCAA Tournament appearance for the Big Red and their fifth consecutive berth.

Men's Lacrosse: Comeback attempt vs. #4 Stevenson comes up short
Dan Maude scored three goals, including the 100th of his career, but is wasn't enough for the No. 11 Big Red to upset No. 4, Stevenson. The Mustangs left Denison with a 12-9 victory in Saturday's regular season finale from Deeds Field-Piper Stadium.

Men's Lacrosse: Big Red blitz St. Vincent
Emmett Jones scored six times and 13 players in all got their name in the scoring column as the 11th ranked Denison Big Red rolled to a 24-6 victory over St. Vincent College in Latrobe, Pa. Denison is 12-1 and ready for a clash with 4th ranked Stevenson on Saturday (May 2) in Granville.

Men's Lacrosse: No. 13 Big Red defeat Lords to claim 11th NCAC Championship
Denison broke a 5-5 tie heading into the fourth quarter with three straight goals that would result in an 8-6 win over the Kenyon College Lords from Gambier, Ohio. The win improves the 13th ranked Big Red's record to 11-1 overall and a perfect 5-0 in the North Coast Athletic Conference. That also means Denison has clinched their 11th conference title in the 25-year history of conference.

Denison's NCAA Tournament run came to an end in the Quarterfinals following a 13-8 loss to Gettysburg on May 13. It was Denison's 17th NCAA Tournament appearance it marked their 11th trip to the Elite 8.
