Three members of the Denison University men's lacrosse team were named to the Inside Lacrosse Face-Off Yearbook's list of preseason All-Americans for Division III.
Sophomore attack Brady Burton (Dublin, Ohio/Jerome), junior defenseman Jim Minor (Washington, Pa./Trinity) and senior long stick Taylor Nissi (Groton, Mass./Holderness) all earned honorable mention on the preview list highlighting the nation's top players heading into the 2008 season.
Burton, the North Coast Athletic Conference's Newcomer of the Year in 2007, set a Denison single-season freshman record with 74 goals and led the conference in goals scored.
Minor was a second-team All-NCAC pick after posting 24 ground balls in 15 starts for the Big Red. Veteran long pole, Nissi returns to his position where he is a two-time, first-team all-conference selection.
Also earning preseason all-conference honors were senior attack Topher Nazaruk (Stratford, Conn./Fairfield Prep) and junior middie Dan Maude (Wayne, Pa./The Haverford School).
Denison is coming off an 11-4 campaign in 2007 which saw the Big Red advance to the NCAA Division III Tournament for the 15th time in school history. It was also the school's third consecutive appearance in the national tournament.
