More Information

The outstanding play of junior goalkeeper Alex Baruch (Richmond, Va./St. Christopher's) highlighted a defensive masterpiece that held Kenyon scoreless through the game's first 54 minutes. The victory, number eleven on the year, is the most victories by a Denison team since 2002.

Baruch made a handful of miraculous saves early that sparked the Big Red defense and they never looked back. He finished with 16 saves on the day. The single goal is the second time this season that the Big Red have held opponents to such a score, as they held Eastern to a lone goal in a 15-1 victory.

Freshman attacker Brady Burton (Dublin, Ohio/Jerome) continued his hot freshman season, scoring two goals. Burton continues to climb the Denison single season scoring charts as his first goal today moved him past Tom Bryan's 1990 record for second all-time with 46.

Senior Chris Boehl (Wilmington, Del./Tatnall) scored a pair as well and six other Denison players scored in the balanced attack. The victory moves the Big Red to 11-3 on the year and 4-1 in NCAC action. They sit second in the conference, a game behind leader Ohio Wesleyan. They now await word from the NCAA on a possible tournament berth.
