Men's Lacrosse Earns Big Road Win at Oberlin
Brady Burton scored his 40th goal of the season in DU's 20-4 win over Oberlin.

Denison freshman attackman Brady Burton became the first DU player to score over 40 goals in a season since 2000 as the Big Red rolled past Oberlin College, 20-4 on Wednesday afternoon.
Burton led Denison with five goals, upping his season total to 43 goals scored which leads the North Coast Athletic Conference. He has scored five or more goals six times this season and in each of the last five games.
Helping Burton with the scoring load was Rick Mackessy who led the team with six points (four goals, two assists). Brian Bienemann and Chris Boehl both posted hat tricks and Topher Nazaruk added two goals and two assists for DU. Denison outshot Oberlin 55-19 as Big Red goalie Daniel Wallace posted two saves while playing 45 minutes in cage. Connor Detjen won 16-of-25 face-off's for Denison and the Big Red man-up offense was sharp, scoring in six of their eight opportunities, raising their season extra-man percentage to 49 percent.
Denison will now gear up for Saturday's clash with rival Ohio Wesleyan. The Big Red enters the game with a 10-2 overall record and a 3-0 mark in conference play while the Bishops sport a 10-3 record and are also 3-0 in the NCAC. Face-off is scheduled for 3 p.m. The past six games between Denison and OWU have been decided by one goal with the Big Red prevailing in the last three meetings. Denison's last win at Selby Field came in the 2000 season.
