Denison sophomore attack Brady Burton (Dublin, Ohio/Jerome) was named the North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week after leading Denison to a 16-12 victory over Ohio Wesleyan on May 3.

Burton scored a career-high eight goals and added one assist, leading DU to the outright North Coast Athletic Conference Championship and a berth in the 2008 NCAA Division III Championships.

He leads the Big Red in scoring with 48 goals and is just five goals away from reaching the 100 career-goal milestone.  Burton and the 12th ranked Big Red will host Widener in the first round of the Division III Tournament on Wednesday (May 7) at 2 p.m.

This was the second NCAC Player of the Week honor for Burton this season.  He received the award on April 6 after leading Denison past Mount St. Joseph and Washington & Jefferson.
