The win improved Denison's record to 2-0 this season and also marked the second straight game the Big Red has put 23 goals on the board.  Denison has outscored their opponents 46-3 in the two first games of the season, marking the most prolific scoring start to a campaign after two games in the 53-year history of the program.

Senior goalie Alex Baruch (Richmond, Va./St. Christopher's) played 42 minutes and posted nine saves while allowing four goals.  Dan Wallace closed out the game with 18 minutes in cage.  He stopped five Elizabethtown shots and allowed two goals.

The Big Red dominated the face-off circle, winning 23-of-33.  Sophomore Conner Detjen (Winnetka, Ill/Loyola Academy) was 10-for-13 to lead DU.

Denison was 4-for-5 in extra-man opportunities and scored in a shorthanded situation in the first quarter via an unassisted goal by Maude.

Denison outshot the Blue Jays 52-24 and scooped up 44 ground balls.  Denison will hit the road next Saturday when they take on #2 Gettysburg on Saturday (March 8) at 1 p.m.

Notable:
Prior to the game the family of Clayton Manos served as honorary captains for the Big Red.  The Denison lacrosse team has dedicated the season in memory of Manos, a 17 year-old junior from Granville High School who was killed in an automobile accident on Dec. 2, 2007.
