The Denison men's outdoor track and field team placed sixth at the Wooster Invitational on Saturday. Sophomore Andrew Cook led DU with a second place finish in the high jump, clearing 6'2". In the 100 meter dash, first-year Peter Jarowey turned in a fifth place showing in 11.74 seconds. Fellow freshman Michael Barnes took third in the 400 meters and Erik Walker was sixth. In the 800 meters three DU runners placed in the top-seven led by rookie Ben Pendery's third place showing in 2:01.05. Ben Holder was sixth and Matt Perkett was seventh. In the 400 meter hurdles James Nelson was second in 1:00.21 and Brian Gilson finished sixth in the 5000 meters in 16:21.93. Rounding out the running events, Brandon Anderson placed eighth in the 200 meters in 24.17. In the discus, Jeff Mervosh was fifth and Brett O'Brien took fourth in the javelin.
