The Denison men's outdoor track and field team competed at the 2007 North Coast Athletic Conference Championship on Friday and Saturday and finished in sixth place with 63 team points. DU got three runner-up performances by Joel Bendtsen, Clark Paciorek and Bill Horn. Bendtsen charted a time of 15:19.37 to finish second in the 5,000 meters. Paciorek was the runner-up in the 3,000 meter steeplechase with a time of 9:40.01 and Horn cleared 14'1.25" in the pole vault to capture the silver in his first outdoor conference championship. Sprinter Michael Barnes ran the 200 meter dash in 22.55 seconds to place third and then turned in a sixth place showing in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.37. In the 10K, Brian Gilson placed fifth with a time of 32:47.62 and another pair of fifth place showings were logged by Erik Walker in the 400 meter dash and by James Nelson in the 400 meter hurdles. Ben Holder and Ben Pendery placed sixth and eighth, respectively in the 800 meters and Andrew Cook took sixth in the men's high jump. Rounding out the top finishers for Denison was Brett O'Brien who placed eighth in the javelin with a throw of 146'5".
