Men's Outdoor Track & Field: Results from Kenyon Invitational

Phil Hiltner placed second in the steeplechase on Saturday at Kenyon.
The Big Red men's outdoor track and field team turned in a seventh place finish at the Kenyon College Spring Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
Denison's top finish was turned in by junior Phil Hiltner (Sylvania, Ohio/St. John's) who placed second in the men's 3,000 meter steeplechase with a time of 10:16.59. He was followed by teammate Craig Baker (Canton, Ohio/GlenOak) who completed the race in 10:23.32.
In the men's javelin, senior Brett O'Brein (Rumson, N.J./CBA) placed third after a throw of 149'4". Sophomore Bill Aukerman (Greenburg, Pa./Greater Latrobe) would go on to place fifth in the javelin and take eighth in the high jump, clearing 5'10".
In the triple jump James Cosby (Centerville, Ohio/Centerville) covered a distance of 40'11" to place fourth.
Another pair of fourth place finishes were turned in by junior Ben Pendery (Ft. Thomas, Ky./Highlands) and sophomore Adam Tewahade (Aurora, Colo./Regis). Pendery ran a time of 1:57.61 in the 800 meters and Tewahade finished the 1,500 meters in 4:08.95.
Junior sprinter Mike Barnes (Gates Mills, Ohio/Mayfield) ran a time of 11.51 in the 100 meter dash which landed him sixth. He followed that with a third-place finish in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.69.
Senior thrower Chris Barber (Sharpsburg, Ky./Bath County) rounded out Denison's top-10 performances with a ninth place finish in the discus.
