Men's Outdoor Track & Field: Results from Washington & Jefferson

The Denison men's track and field team competed at the Washington & Jefferson Invitational on Saturday.  The Big Red totaled 37 points to place eighth out of 14 competing schools.

Denison was led by junior sprinter Mike Barnes who took first place in the 400 meters with a time of 50.44 seconds and posted a third place finish in the 200 meters.  Following Barnes with a third place showing in the 400 was senior Erik Walker who crossed the finish line in 52.07 seconds.

Junior Lex Hultquist ran a time of 4:05.00 in the 1,500 meters which landed him in fourth place.  His teammate Joel Bendtsen placed seventh in 4:07.54.  Rounding out the scoring performances for Denison was junior Ben Pendery who placed seventh in 1:58.69.

Denison will gear up for next Saturday's (April 12) Division III All-Ohio Championships to be held at Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio.
