Men's Soccer: Folt named all-region for third straight season

For the third consecutive time in his career, Denison University senior defender David Folt (Hudson, Ohio/Hudson) was selected to the National Soccer Coaches Association for America/adidas Division III All-Great Lakes Region team.
Folt repeated as a third-team selection after helping anchor the Big Red backline in 2008. The Hudson, Ohio native helped the Big Red defense recorded two shutsouts and allow only 25 goals which was third best in the North Coast Athletic Conference this season. The 2006 first-team all-region selection started in 16 games for the DU and was named first-team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District for the second straight year in 2008 and earned his third straight first-team All-NCAC accolade. The 2006 NCAC Defensive Player of the Year logged four goals and two assists in his career from the backline.
During his four-year career in Granville, Folt aided the Denison defense in 21 shutouts and helped the Big Red earn a berth to the second round of the NCAA Tournament in 2006.
