Men's Soccer: Oberlin doubles up the Big Red 4-2

Len Mills has scored three goals in the last two games.
Denison sophomore Len Mills (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper St. Clair) scored a pair of goals against North Coast Athletic Conference foe Oberlin College, but it wasn't enough as Yeoman knocked off the Big Red men's soccer team 4-2 on Saturday.
Oberlin opened the scoring in the 29th minute when Pete Sabo took teammate Oliver Farrell's crossing pass and put it into the netting to give OC a 1-0 advantage.
DU tied the game at 1-1 in the 39th minute when Mills fired a shot that hit off the far post and bounced into the goal. Mills' score was assisted by sophomore Hubert Beauchemin (Hudson, Ohio/Western Reserve Academy).
The Yeoman scored the next three goals of the game to build up a 4-1 lead. David Lowe registered an unassisted tally in the 43rd minute while John Linder scored a goal off assists from Wyatt Hayman and Drew Williamson at the 45:48 mark. Oberlin's fourth goal was an unassisted tally by Skyler Dum after interception a Denison pass.
Mills was able to cut the Big Red deficit in half when he blistered a shot past goalkeeper Zach Lipshultz off a header pass from Jake Sinsheimer (Charlotte, N.C./Providence Day).
DU held a slim 13-12 advantage in shots. Big Red goalie Kevin Donahue (Riverside, Conn./Greenwich) made four saves while Lipshultz stopped three shots.
The loss drops Denison's record to 4-6-3 overall and 1-3-1 in the league. The Big Red returns to action on Wednesday (Oct. 22) when they welcome the Lords of Kenyon College. Match time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
