Men's Soccer: Ohio Wesleyan edges Big Red 1-0

A goal in the 67th minute lifted Ohio Wesleyan University to a 1-0 victory over the Denison men's soccer team on Friday night.
It was a typical physical battle in Delaware between the two North Coast Athletic Conference rivals. The two squads combined for 17 infractions in the 90-minute match.
After 66 minutes of scoreless play, the Battling Bishops broke through with a goal off a free kick just outside the penalty box by T.J. Trigg.
Sophomore Ish Ghodbane (Olivette, Mo./Ladue Watkins Horton) attempted three shots while sophomore Len Mills (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper St. Clair) registered the only two shots on goal.
OWU outshot the Big Red 23-11, including a 15-6 advantage in the second half. Junior goalkeeper Kevin Donahue (Riverside, Conn./Greenwich) made five stops while Richard Ott collected two saves for the Battling Bishops.
DU falls to 4-4-3 overall and 1-1-1 in the conference. The Big Red returns to action on Wednesday (Oct. 15) when they entertain NCAC foe Earlham at 7:30 p.m. The contest will be broadcasted on the Denison Sports Network, powered by Teamline, starting at approximately 7:15 p.m.
