The 22nd-ranked Denison men's tennis team had four members earn spots on the 2009 North Coast Athletic Conference all-conference teams. The senior tandem of Jordan Buehler (Wooster, Ohio/Wooster) and James Davis (Sylvania, Ohio/St. John's Jesuit) earned All-NCAC recognition for the fourth-straight season after taking home first-team honors in both singles and doubles action.
A three-time first-team selection, Buehler posted a 7-8 mark at a very tough No. 1 flight for the Big Red this season. Davis wrapped up his second-consecutive first-team honor after going a combined 8-6 at both first and second singles. The duo also teamed up to record an impressive 14-4 mark at No. 1 doubles en route to taking home first-team all-league accolades.
Rounding out the singles honors were sophomore Nate Hobrath (Strongsville, Ohio/Walsh Jesuit) and freshman Tyler Cempre (Worthington, Ohio/Thomas Worthington). Hobrath compiled a 9-5 mark with the majority of his matches coming at the third singles flight while Cempre went 10-5 during his rookie campaign in Granville. The pair also teamed up to earn second-team All-NCAC honors with a 15-5 record.
