Men's Tennis: DU blanks FDU-Florham in Spring Opener

The Denison men's tennis team kicked off their spring training trip to Hilton Head Island, S.C. by cruising to a 9-0 victory over Fairleigh Dickinson-Florham on Monday afternoon.
The Big Red dropped only five games in all six singles flights, combined. Jordan Buehler (Wooster, Ohio/Wooster) defeated Adam Geiger 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 singles. James Davis (Toledo, Ohio/St. John's Jesuit) dispatched Joe Li, 6-2, 6-0 in second singles and Nate Hobrath (Strongsville, Ohio/Walsh Jesuit) was a 6-0, 6-0 winner in the third flight.
Rounding out singles play were victories by Denison's Evan Verbofsky (Pittsburgh, Pa./Fox Chapel), Matt McErlean (Hudson, Ohio/Hudson) and Adam Seeley (West Hartford, Conn./William Hall).
All three doubles matches ended in 8-0 victories for DU. The Big Red, who were ranked 24th in the latest Campbell's/ITA Division III national rankings, will take on Rhodes College at noon on Tuesday (March 16).
