Men's Tennis: Denison falls to Kenyon in NCAC title match

Denison suffered a 5-0 loss to eighth ranked Kenyon College in the championship match of the 2009 North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament on Saturday in Gambier, Ohio.  The victory is the third straight conference championship for the Lords.

 The Lords swept the doubles competition with two 8-4 wins and one 8-3 win in the third flight.  In singles play Michael Greenberg topped Jordan Buehler (Wooster, Ohio/Wooster) 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 and William VandenBerg defeated Tyler Cempre (Worthington, Ohio/Thomas Worthington), 6-4, 6-4 in the fourth flight.

Denison's record drops to 16-5 on the year.  They are ranked 23rd nationally and fifth in the central region.  Denison will await word from the NCAA selection committee to see if they have earned an at-large bid to the 2009 NCAA Division III Championships.
