The 23rd ranked Denison men's tennis team swept doubles play and senior James Davis (Toledo, Ohio/St. John's Jesuit) won a critical three-set thriller over Tyler Snedden to lock up a 6-3 victory for the Big Red against Rhodes College from Hilton Head, S.C.

After cruising to three points in the doubles portion of the match Rhodes struck back with a win at No. 1 singles after Jonathan Moreno topped Jordan Buehler (Wooster, Ohio/Wooster) 6-4, 6-3.  In the third and fourth singles flights Denison's Nate Hobrath (Strongsville, Ohio/Walsh Jesuit) and Tyler Cempre (Worthington, Ohio/Thomas Worthington) came up with two-set victories to get Denison within one point of a victory.

At No. 2 singles Davis took the opening set versus Snedden 7-5 but dropped the second 6-3.  In the third and decisive set Davis pulled off a 10-8 super tie-breaker win.
