Denison Men's Netters Earn Key NCAC Victory Over Wooster

Denison got one step closer to clinching the #2 seed in the upcoming North Coast Athletic Conference men's tennis championships, following Monday's 7-2 win over The College of Wooster.
Both teams entered the night with just one conference loss. Denison opened doubles play by taking two of three points. Randy Lofgren and Kevin Newman defeated Dave Albrechta and Sam Hickey, 8-4 at first doubles.
Wooster picked up a point with a win over James Davis and Jordan Buehler in the second doubles position. At third doubles, Denison's Charlie Poe and Tom Hodgkiss-Lilly earned an 8-5 win over Dan Fleszar and Pat Grabb.
In singles play Jordan Buehler moved to first singles and defeated regionally ranked Will Morrison, 7-5, 6-1. Davis topped D'Augustine, 6-4, 7-5 and Lofgren picked up a win over Albrechta. Hodgkiss-Lilly topped Grabb, 6-1, 6-4 at #5 singles and Poe came up with Denison's final point in the sixth flight.
Denison will close out the regular season when they host Earlham on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
