Men's Tennis: Kenyon stops Big Red in GLCA Semifinals

The Big Red men's tennis team's run through the Great Lakes Colleges Association tournament came to an end on Saturday following a 5-0 semifinal loss to Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio.
Denison advanced to the semifinals after a 5-4 victory against the region's sixth-ranked team, Kalamazoo.
The Lords got off to a strong start on Saturday when they captured two closely contested doubles matches to head into singles play with a 3-0 lead. At No. 2 singles the team of Charles Brody and Daniel Becker held off Denison's Jordan Buehler (Wooster, Ohio/Wooster) and James Davis (Toledo, Ohio/St. John's Jesuit), 9-7. In the third slot Greg Sussman and McNeil Parker knocked off Denison's Tom Hodgkiss-Lilly (Cleveland Heights, Ohio/Cleveland Heights) and Nate Hobrath (Strongsville, Ohio/Walsh Jesuit), 8-6.
In singles play the region's third-ranked player, Greenberg, handled Buehler 6-4, 6-0 and Jeremy Polster topped Kevin Newman (Cincinnati, Ohio/Sycamore) to clinch the win and advance to the championship.
Denison's record falls to 9-4 overall while Kenyon improves to 15-0.
