The Denison senior men's tennis doubles team of Randy Lofgren (Cincinnati, Ohio/Princeton) and Kevin Newman (Cincinnati, Ohio/Sycamore) has earned their third consecutive bid to compete in the NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Doubles Championship on May 16-18 at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine.

Lofgren and Newman posted a 19-6 during the 2007-08 season.  They were 7-0 in North Coast Athletic Conference play and were 3-2 versus regionally ranked opponents.  The duo is one of just 16 doubles teams from around the nation who are selected to participate in this prestigious event.  In 2006 they advanced to the quarterfinals of the doubles draw and were named All-Americans.  Since 2005 they have compiled a career record of 67-21 for a .761 winning percentage.  In the most recent FILA/ITA central region rankings posted on April 29, Lofgren and Newman checked in third.  The Denison men's team ended the year ranked 26th in the national poll.
