Jason Miller

In 2009 Jason Miller begins his second year as the Assistant Sports Information Director at Denison University.
Miller is involved in the daily operation of the Big Red's 23 varsity sports. Since coming to Denison in the fall of 2008 he has played a vital role in the creation of online media guides for men's and women's soccer, volleyball, cross country and track & field, and women's lacrosse. Additionally, Miller serves as the primary contact for the Denison Sports Network, which includes the responsibility to evaluate on-air talent and scheduling broadcast teams throughout the three athletic seasons. In addition to assisting in the hosting of three North Coast Athletic Conference Championship events and one NCAA Championship event, he has helped promote numerous all-conference, all-region and All-American award winners.
Before his arrival in Granville, Miller served as a full-time sports journalist for The Daily Jeffersonian in his hometown of Cambridge, Ohio. While employed at the newspaper, he covered multiple sports spanning eight local high schools in addition to Muskingum University. In addition to keeping statistics and writing post-game stories, Miller authored several feature stories, designed and edited sports and agate pages, and served as a part-time sports photographer.
Prior to working at The Daily Jeffersonian, Miller was the Sports Information Assistant at Otterbein College.
As an assistant at Otterbein, Miller was directly involved in the day-to-day operations of the Cardinals' 16 Division III athletic programs. He served as the primary contact for five sports which included men's and women's soccer, women's basketball, baseball and softball. The Cambridge, Ohio native also edited various media guides and other promotional materials for Otterbein athletics.
In 2006, Miller graduated from Muskingum College with a B.A. in speech communication. In addition to aiding in the everyday duties of the sports information office at Muskingum, he assisted in the management and coordination of two NCAA softball regional championships and four Ohio Athletic Conference softball tournament championships. Miller also served as a play-by-play and color analysis for various sport events.
Miller currently resides in nearby Newark.
