The stingy Denison defense showed their teeth and senior Sarah Ash sent the crowd home happy in the 75th minute as the 13th ranked Big Red women's soccer team rolled to a 1-0 victory over Earlham College on Wednesday afternoon at Barclay-Thomsen Field.

Men's Soccer: Late score lifts Earlham past Denison

A goal with under two minutes to play in regulation propelled Earlham College to a 2-1 victory over the Denison men's soccer team on Wednesday night at Barclay-Thomsen Field. The loss drops the Big Red to 4-5-3 overall and 1-2-1 in North Coast Athletic Conference play.

Volleyball: Hiram defeats Big Red

The Hiram College Terriers downed the Big Red volleyball team 3-0 (25-14, 25-15, 25-22) on Wednesday night at Price Gymnasium in Hiram, Ohio. The loss moves Denison's record to 3-6 in the North Coast Athletic Conference while Hiram improves to 7-4 in conference play.

Men's Cross Country: Russo earns NCAC Athlete of the Week honors

Denison senior Grant Russo received North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week honors following a fourth-place finish at the Division III All-Ohio Championships on Friday in Delaware, Ohio.

Women's Soccer: Rusch's score lifts No. 14 Denison to fifth straight win

Junior Anna Rusch's fourth-minute goal lifted the 14th-ranked Denison women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Allegheny College on Sunday afternoon. The victory was the Big Red's fifth consecutive and improved their record to 9-2-1 overall and 3-0 in the North Coast Athletic Conference.

Football: Big Red grinds out victory at Hiram

Entering Saturday's key North Coast Athletic Conference match-up with Hiram College the offensive game plan was to keep things on the ground and pound the football directly at the heart of the Hiram defense. Even after three consecutive turnovers in the opening quarter, Denison held true to the game plan, eventually wearing down the Terriers for a 31-13 victory at Henry Field.

Field Hockey: Denison gets back on track versus Transylvania

A penalty stroke conversion by Molly McCue would set the tone for Denison as the Big Red would hold on for a much needed 2-0 victory versus Transylvania University on Saturday from Deeds Field-Piper Stadium.

Volleyball: DU suffers a pair of close losses to Wooster and Capital

The improvement over the last month has been evident when it comes to the Denison volleyball team. The squad, made up of 13 first-year players and only four seniors and juniors continued to make great strides on Saturday afternoon, falling just shy against The College of Wooster and Capital University.

The Denison volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (25-19, 25-12, 25-18) match to sixth-ranked Wittenberg University on Friday night. The Big Red Falls to 6-12 on the season and 3-4 in North Coast Athletic Conference play.
