The Denison University women's basketball team is hosting a Pink Zone "Pack the Gym" Night on Wednesday, (Feb. 11) to promote breast cancer awareness.

The game, scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off, will pit the top two teams in the North Coast Athletic Conference against each other.  It is also the final regular season home game for the Denison Big Red.  Fresh of clinching their second NCAC Championship on Saturday night, DU will put their 13-0 conference record and their 12-game winning streak on the line against a Kenyon squad that has won five-straight games and has moved into second place in the NCAC at 9-4.

The first 100 students to arrive at Livingston Gymnasium will receive a free "Pink Zone" t-shirt. A limited amount of additional shirts will be available for sale. All other fans in attendance are encouraged to wear pink to show their support.

A donation box will be available at the entrance, with all money going to the Kay Yow/ WBCA Cancer Fund.

The "Pink Zone" initiative is sponsored by Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and is a global, unified effort for the association to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond. The WBCA began "Pink Zone" in 2007 and more than 120 schools have unified to make "Pink Zone" a success.
