Think Pink

The Denison University women's basketball team is hosting "Think Pink Night" on Friday (Feb. 8) to promote breast cancer awareness.

The game, which is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. tipoff will feature two of the top teams in the North Coast Athletic Conference.  Both Denison and their opponent, Ohio Wesleyan, check in with identical 8-3 records in conference play and are tied for third place.

The first 100 students to arrive at Livingston Gymnasium will receive a free "Think Pink" t-shirt.  All other fans in attendance are encouraged to wear pink to show their support.

Admission to the game is free but Denison student-athletes will be on-hand collecting donations with 100% of the money collected going to breast cancer research.

The "Think Pink" initiative is sponsored by Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and is a global, unified effort for the association to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond.  The WBCA began "Think Pink" in 2007 and more than 120 schools unified for this effort and helped make the inaugural year of the WBCA's "Think Pink" a success.
