Katie St. Clair hit a career-high for the second straight night, finishing with 22 points as DU defeated Oberlin.

Junior Katie St. Clair (Granger, Ind./St. Joseph's) followed up Friday night's career-high 17 point performance with a new career-high, 22 point effort which helped her Denison Big Red to a clear-cut 74-47 victory over Oberlin College on Saturday night at Phillips Gymnasium.

St. Clair capped off an outstanding week which saw her average 15.3 ppg in victories over Earlham, Ohio Wesleyan and Oberlin this week.  Tonight she hit 9-of-13 from the field and was 2-for-4 from 3-point range.  Her 22 points tied Carolyn Simpson (Dublin, Ohio/Scioto) for the most by a Denison player this season.

The Big Red jumped all over the Yeowomen in the first half thanks to an 11-0 run which gave DU a 14-point lead with 4:10 to go in the first half.  Denison took a 15-point lead into the locker room and would see their lead balloon to as many as 28 points in the second half.

Joining St. Clair in the scoring parade was Simpson who posted her seventh double-double after going 6-for-7 from the field and 4-for-5 from the free throw line for 17 points.  She also 11 rebounds and had two blocked shots.  Freshman wing Haley Dahlgard (Walnut Creek, Calif./Northgate) chipped in 10 points, seven rebounds and four assists for Denison who improves to 14-8 overall and 10-3 in the North Coast Athletic Conference.

Oberlin was led by Alyssa Clark who scored 16 points and added 12 rebounds.  Clark also went over 1,000 career points in the second half.

DU shot 40 percent for the game and was 16-for-23 from the free throw line.  Oberlin was held to 17 field goals and shot 27 percent as a team.  Denison won the battle of the boards 48-45 and committed only seven turnovers.

Denison's next contest will be at Kenyon College on Wed. (Feb. 13) at 7:30 p.m.
