Tiffany Pins returns for her third season as the assistant women's soccer coach for the Big Red in 2009. In 2007 the Big Red went 14-6-1 and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the third consecutive season and the 11th time in program history.
Prior to her arrival in Granville, Pins spent two seasons as an assistant coach at her alma mater, Wartburg College, where she helped guide the Knights to 25 victories in two seasons.
She was a three year starter for the Knights (2002-04) and is the program's all-time leader in points (105) and goals scored (42). In 2004, Pins led Wartburg to a school-record, 16 victories and a spot in the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament semifinals. She led the team in scoring in 2004 with 22 goals and was a second-team All-IIAC selection.
Pins earned her bachelor's degree in history from Wartburg and is currently enrolled in the graduate program at the University of Northern Iowa. She holds a National License and an Advanced Regional License from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and has also served as an assistant coach at the club and high school level.
Pins and her husband, Brian, reside in nearby Pataskala. In the winter and spring athletic seasons Pins will assist in the day-to-day operations of the Denison sports information office and will instruct activities courses in the physical education department.
