Denison sophomore Katie Navarre (Upper Arlington, Ohio/Upper Arlington) was named North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week in women's cross country after her first-place finish at the Wilmington Fall Classic on Friday afternoon.

The victory was Navarre's second of the season and helped the Big Red to a fifth-place finish in Wilmington. The sophomore has finished in the top five in every race this season, including a second-place finish at the Division III All-Ohio Championships on Oct. 10.

The Denison women's cross country team returns to action on Nov. 1 when they travel to Oberlin College for the the NCAC Championships.
