Women's Cross Country: Denison finishes 11th at Otterbein Invitational

The Denison women's cross country team compiled 314 points to finish 11th in the 23 team field at the Otterbein College Invitational on Saturday.
Sophomore Katie Navarre (Upper Arlington, Ohio/Upper Arlington) was second in the event with a time of 21:56.3 to pace the Big Red. Navarre has finished in the top five in all three races this season.
Junior Kelsey Pence (Columbus, Ind./Columbus North) and freshman Victoria Pottieger (Wyomissing, Pa./Wyomissing) were the next two runners to cross the finish line for DU. Pence was 69th with a mark of 24:17.5 while Pottieger finished 74th in the 280 person field with a time of 24:26.7. Rounding out the scoring for Denison were the sophomore duo of Kirby Mosenthal (Briarcliff, N.Y./Irvington) and Julie Rotramel (Lexington, Ky./Lafayette). Mosenthal crossed the line in a time of 25:02 good for 103rd while Rotramel was 160th with a mark of 26:05.5
The Big Red return to action on Friday (Oct. 10) when they travel to Ohio Wesleyan University for the All-Ohio Championships.
