Junior Katie Navarre (Upper Arlington, Ohio/Upper Arlington) led the Denison women's cross country to an eighth place finish in the Division III standings at the 2009 All-Ohio Cross Country Championships from Methodist Theological School on Friday in Delaware, Ohio.

Trailing Navarre  for the Big Red was first year Julie Cantelon (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer) who logged a time of 21:07.2 which secured her a 38th-place finish.  Sophomore Ani Mutafove (Canton, Ohio/Jackson) crossed the line next for DU in a time of 21:14.5, while rookie Michelle Clark (Elyria, Ohio/Elyria Catholic) finished in 21:41.5.  Rounding out the Denison scoring was senior Kelsey Pence (Columbus, Ind./Columbus North) with a time of 22:07.1.
