The Denison women's cross country team posted an impressive second-place finish at the Great Lakes College Association Championship Saturday at Ohio Wesleyan University.

Junior Katie Navarre (Upper Arlington, Ohio/Upper Arlington) placed second with a time of 18:13 to pace the Big Red, while freshman Julie Cantelon (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer) finished 12th at 19:51. 

Sophomore Ani Mutafova (Canton, Ohio/Jackson) and junior Kirby Mosenthal (Briarcliff, N.Y./Irvington) also turned in solid performances, placing 13th and 16th, respectively.  Mutafova logged a time of 20:02 and Mosenthal crossed the finish line at 20:12.

The Big Red will travel to the Cedarville Invitational next Saturday (Sept. 19).
