Cross Country: Two return to NCAA Championship
Two members of the Denison men's and women's cross country team will compete at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championship for the second-consecutive year. Junior Katie Navarre and sophomore Dee Salukombo will represent the University at Saturday's championship event following impressive performances at regionals.

Women's Cross Country: Navarre wins NCAA Regional Championship
Denison junior Katie Navarre became the first female in Denison history to win the individual championship at the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Championship on Saturday in Terre Haute, Ind. Navarre, who was coming off a NCAC title two weeks ago, will compete in the NCAA Championship next Saturday in Cleveland.

Women's Cross Country: Navarre places first at NCAC Championship
Denison junior Katie Navarre edged out two-time defending champion, Joanna Johnson of Oberlin to win the 2009 North Coast Athletic Conference Women's Cross Country Championship from Liberty Park in Powell, Ohio. As a team, the Big Red placed seventh overall.

Women's Cross Country: Results from Gettysburg Invitational
The Denison women's cross country team placed 14th out of 28 teams at the Gettysburg College Invitational in Gettysburg, Pa. Denison was led by senior Kelsey Pence and sophomore Ani Mutafova who placed 56th and 57th, respectively out of a field of 289 runners.

Women's Cross Country: Big Red finishes eighth at All-Ohio Championships
Junior Katie Navarre led the Denison women's cross country to an eighth place finish in the Division III standings at the 2009 All-Ohio Cross Country Championships from Methodist Theological School on Friday in Delaware, Ohio.

Women's Cross Country: Navarre leads Denison to fifth place finish at Cedarville
Katie Navarre turned in another outstanding performance, placing second overall, at the 19th annual Friendship Invitational hosted by Cedarville University. Her finish combined with four other top-42 finishes helped the Big Red place fifth out of 16 teams.

Denison University sophomore Katie Navarre placed ninth at the 2008 NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Championship which was hosted by Hanover College in Hanover, Ind. The ninth place finish was the best performance by a Denison runner at the national championship meet.

Cross Country: Three qualify for NCAA Championship
Three members of the Denison men's and women's cross country team will represent the University on Saturday in the 2008 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championship from Hanover, Ind. The three qualifiers, Katie Navarre, Grant Russo and Dee Salukombo, will all be making their first appearances in the national meet.
