Oberlin's Abigail Brox broke a 2-2 tie with just over five minutes remaining in the second half, helping the Yeowomen to a 3-2 victory over the Denison Big Red in Saturday's field hockey season finale.

Denison jumped out of the gate with two goals in the first 23 minutes of play but Oberlin put on the pressure late in the first half and into the second half hitting the back of the cage three times to pull off the comeback win.

Denison's first goal was scored by junior Molly McCue (Gibsonia, Pa./Aquinas Academy) only 57 seconds into the contest.  DU's second score was provided by Caroline Kasper (Richmond, Va./St. Catherine's) off a nice feed by Kristen Schneider (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) in the 23rd minute of play.

Oberlin got on the board in the 30th minute of play when Brox found Emily Whitaker for their first score.  Just under two minutes later Danielle Gilliam would tie the match off a pass from Whitaker to tie the match at two.

The score would remain tied until the 65th minute of play when Brox sent the Yeowomen home with the win.

Oberlin goalie Manya Lulek finished with seven saves while Denison's goalkeeper, Kristie Hart (Blacklick, Ohio/Columbus Academy) turned in 12 saves.
