Field Hockey: Big Red drops two at competitive Seagull Invitational

Unable to find their offensive groove, the Big Red dropped a pair of games to Salisbury and Frostburg State at the 2008 Seagull Invitational.
In the first game, host Salisbury downed the Big Red, 7-0. Goalie Kristie Hart (Blacklick, Ohio/Columbus Academy) recorded 21 saves against the nation's #3 ranked team.
Junior forward Lauren Keny (Bexley, Ohio/Columbus School for Girls) gave the Big Red a 1-0 advantage in the ninth minute of game two, putting back a rebound for the squad's lone goal. Three second half goals by the Frostburg State Bobcats went unanswered for a 4-1 final.
With the losses, the Big Red fall to 2-2 on the season. They return to action tomorrow morning for a 9:00 a.m. matchup with Brockport State to wrap up the weekend tournament.
