Field Hockey: Five named to NFHCA Academic Squad
The Denison field hockey team had five players named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association All-Academic Squad and the team received the NFCA's Academic Award for posting a cumulative grade point average of over 3.0.

Field Hockey: Five named to All-NCAC squad; McCue receives All-Region honors
The Denison University field hockey squad had five juniors garner All-North Coast Athletic Conference accolades in 2008. Lauren Keny and Emily Marshall headlined the quintet of juniors with second team all-conference honors while Molly McCue landed on the second-team All-Region team for the first time.

Denison rallied from a two goal deficit by scoring a pair of goals in the second half but after two scoreless overtime periods Kenyon College came out on top, winning the strokeoff competition 2-1 in two rounds.

Earlham's Cassie Gage scored broke a scoreless tie four minutes into the second overtime period, helping the Quakers past the Big Red, 1-0 on Saturday in Richmond, Ind.
