Women's Golf: DU closes out play at Capital Invitational

On a much nicer day at the Purple & White Invitational hosted by Capital University, the Denison women's golf team finished 14th to close out the tournament.

Big Red junior Megan Fleming (Marietta, Ohio/Marietta) shaved 12 strokes off her first round performance and finished with a second-round 93. Classmate Allie DeFries (Flossmoor, Ill./Homewood Flossmoor) fired a 97 on day two of the tournament.

Bethel (Ind.) won the team title with a score of 678. Ohio Northern finished second at 720 followed by Otterbein with 723.
