Fleming's placed ninth at the Capital Fall Invitational with an 85.

Juniors Megan Fleming (Marietta, Ohio/Marietta) and Allie DeFries (Flossmor, Ill./Homewood-Flossmor) each turned in rounds one shot shy of their career bests as the Big Red finished seventh at Capital University's Fall Invitational.

Fleming's round of 85 at Westchester Golf Course was good enough for ninth on the day's leaderboard. The round is just one stroke shy of her collegiate best, an 84 at Majestic Springs GC in 2006.

For DeFries, her 91 is her best round since carding a 90 at the Lady Yellow Jacket Invitational in 2006.

Junior Emily Stimpert (Worthington, Ohio/Thomas Worthington) and sophomores Chelsea Lee (Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest) and Lauren Sabo (Chagrin Falls, Ohio/Kenston) rounded out the Big Red scoring respectively, finishing within six shots of each other.

The Big Red will round out their fall schedule when they travel to Ohio Dominican next Saturday.
