Women's Golf: Big Red place 8th at Mount Union

Playing through high winds, cold temperatures and a number of rain showers the Denison women's golf team finished the final round of the 2009 Mount Union Invitational from Tannenhauf Golf Course with a 404 to finish in eighth place out of nine teams.

After her career-low round of 80 on Saturday, Denison junior Allie DeFries (Flossmoor, Ill./Homewood-Flossmoor) led DU again on Sunday with a 93.  DeFries finished in a tie for eighth place as a individual out of 47 golfers.

Following DeFries was Megan Fleming (Marietta, Ohio/Marietta) who followed her 91 on Saturday with a 95 on Sunday.
