Megan Fleming

The Denison women's golf team posted a team score of 411 en route to finishing 11th at the Ohio Northern University Fall Invitational on Sunday afternoon in Ada.

Junior Megan Fleming (Marietta, Ohio/Marietta) fired a 43 on the front nine and followed that up with a 44 on the back for an 87 to pace the Big Red. Fleming finished the event tied for 13th and was just three strokes shy of her career-best round of 84.

Junior Allie DeFries (Flossmoor, Ill./Homewood-Flossmoor) trailed Fleming with a 98 to finish tied for 44th, while sophomores Chelsea Lee (Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest) and Lauren Sabo (Chagrin Falls, Ohio/Kenston) finished 57th and tied for 60th, respectively. Lee shot a 110 for the round while Sabo carded a 116.

Denison travels to Urbana on Monday (Sept. 22) to compete in a one-day event.
