Allie DeFries

The Denison women's golf team carded a team score of 408 to finish fourth at the Urbana University Fall Classic on Monday in Urbana.

Junior Allie DeFries (Flossmoor, Ill./Homewood-Flossmoor) fired a 93 to finish tied for seventh to pace the Big Red. The junior's score was just two strokes shy of her career-best round of 91.

Trailing DeFries was fellow junior Megan Fleming (Marietta, Ohio/Marietta) who finished tied for 10th with a 96. Sophomore Chelsea Lee (Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest) finished the day with a 107 while sophomore Lauren Sabo (Chagrin Falls, Ohio/Kenston) shot a 112. Lee finished the day tied for 26th and Sabo ended the round in 30th.

Denison returns to action Friday (Sept. 26) at the Muskingum College Invitiational at River Green Golf Course.
